THE 72ND ORDINARY SESSION OF THE CDEN GOVERNING BOARD IS HELD
The Livestock Development Fund for the North (CDEN): A major asset for the optimal functioning of the EPIA sub-sector in the North, Adamawa, and Far North regions
This institutional structure, which held the work of its 72nd ordinary session of its Board of Directors under the chairmanship of Dr. Taïga, President of the Council, is at the heart of the concerns of the implementation of the Import Substitution Policy. This session, essentially devoted to the examination and adoption of the budget, gave the opportunity to the statutory members and personalities who take part in the work as special guests to examine and adopt the programming report in the framework of the Medium-Term Expenditure of the CDEN for the period 2025-2027, without forgetting the Performance Project of the said structure for the 2025 financial year. It should be noted that the minutes of the previous session as well as the level of implementation of the resolutions and recommendations of the 71st . It should also be recalled that the level of implementation of activities and budget implementation for the 2024 financial year as of October 30 was also assessed.
The harmonious progress of the work made it possible to make a careful examination of all the points which allows the CDEN to emerge from this 72nd ordinary session of the Board of Directors with a total envelope that amounts to the sum of 3,194,258,000 CFA francs…. This envelope will enable the CDEN to carry out the activities of the Emergency Programme for the Fight Against the Food Crisis (PULCCA) by effectively addressing animal health protection, animal production and pastoral animation for the implementation of the PIISAH. During the densely rich exchanges, it emerged in strong recommendation that the CDEN must also take an interest in the beekeeping sector, which is part of the non-conventional livestock component.
Under the enlightened leadership of the hierarchy, the CDEN must make tireless efforts to ensure that the results are magnified and worthy of celebration. This 72nd session of the work of the Board of Directors of the CDEN ended with a strong satisfaction of the members with an indence on the committed participation of the three governors of the Regions of the northern part of our country, Cameroon.
