Regional Pasture and Pastoral Hydraulics Service
(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Regional Service of Pastures and Pastoral Hydraulics is responsible for:
- monitoring the land tenure security of spaces reserved for pastoral activities, in liaison with the administrations concerned;
- monitoring the development and management of pastures and water points for pastoral use;
- the application of prevention measures and the management of conflictual land situations in terms of pastures;
- monitoring of the various interventions in the development of pastoral space;
- monitoring the rational management of infrastructure, equipment and pastoral developments;
- the management of the movements of animals in transhumance;
- the delimitation of grazing and transhumance areas;
- monitoring of cattle ring and transhumance projects;
- the permanent updating of the pastoral map;
- the popularization of techniques for the rational management of pastoral areas and pastoral resources;
- the popularization of fodder production and processing techniques;
- the preparation of maps of fodder resources, animal resources, hydraulics and zoo-veterinary infrastructures;
- the operation of a livestock geographic information system;
- monitoring the application of standard livestock infrastructure plans.
