Fishing Control Posts
(1) Under the authority of a Chief of Post, the Chief of the Fishery Control Post is responsible for:
- the control and surveillance of fishing activities;
- monitoring compliance with fisheries regulations;
- monitoring of fishing areas and biological rest periods;
- monitoring the protection of fishery resources;
- control of fishing gear and methods and market sizes of commercially exploited species;
- monitoring the landings of fishery products of fishing units duly authorised to operate in waters under national jurisdiction.
