(1) Placed under the authority of a district delegate, the District Delegation for Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, is responsible for:

• pastoral animation and the popularization of methods in terms of livestock, fisheries and animal and fisheries industries;
• the veterinary health inspectorate;
• veterinary health protection;
• monitoring the activities of private veterinarians;
• the distribution of technical equipment and medicines;
• technical supervision in the areas of livestock, fisheries and aquaculture;
• monitoring the activities of specialized centres;
• monitoring the collection of statistics at the district level;
• the supervision and organisation of fish farmers;
• the MONITORING of the activities of professional and interprofessional organizations in the sector;
• the production and distribution of the selected fingerlings;
• the collection of aquaculture statistics.

(2) It includes:

• Zootechnical and Veterinary Centres;
• Fishing Centres;
• Fishing Control Posts.
