(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Veterinary Pharmacy Service is responsible for:

• monitoring the implementation of projects for the supply of inputs to veterinary pharmacies;
• the examination of applications for marketing authorisation for veterinary medicinal products, in liaison with the administrations concerned;
• the examination of applications for approval, the authorisation to create and open pharmacies and veterinary pharmaceutical laboratories;
• monitoring the activities of veterinary pharmacies and veterinary pharmaceutical laboratories;
• monitoring pharmacovigilance activities;
• participation in the popularization of scientific and technical documentation on pharmacy and veterinary inputs.
