(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Pastoral Hydraulics Service is responsible for:

• development and management of water resources for pastoral use;
• monitoring the implementation of pastoral water development projects;
• monitoring the development, operation and maintenance of water points for livestock;
• monitoring the application of regulations on pastoral hydraulics;
• harmonization of the various interventions in the field of pastoral hydraulics;
• the preparation and permanent updating of water resource maps;
• monitoring the rational management of pastoral water infrastructure and equipment.
