Sub-Directorate of Pastures and Livestock Infrastructures
(1) Under the authority of a Deputy Director, the Sub-Directorate of Pastures and Livestock Infrastructures is responsible for:
- the development and management of water resources for pastoral use;
- the development of pastoral water development projects;
- monitoring the development, operation and maintenance of water points for livestock;
- monitoring the application of regulations on pastoral hydraulics;
- the harmonization of the various interventions in the field of pastoral hydraulics;
- monitoring the rational management of pastoral water infrastructure and equipment;
- securing land tenure for pastoral activities, in conjunction with the administrations concerned;
- the development of pastoral development projects;
- support for the prevention and management of conflictual land situations in terms of pastures;
- the harmonization of the various interventions in the field of pastoral land development;
- monitoring the rational management of infrastructure, equipment and pastoral developments;
- support for the organization of animal movements in transhumance;
- the delimitation of grazing and transhumance areas;
- the development of cattle track and transhumance projects;
- the preparation and permanent updating of maps of fodder, animal and hydraulic resources and zoo-veterinary infrastructures;
- the operation of a livestock geographic information system;
- the design and production of standard livestock infrastructure plans.
