(1) Under the authority of a Head of Department, the Agricultural and Agro-industrial By-Products Promotion Service is responsible for:

• the inventory and valorization of agricultural and agro-industrial by-products;
• the promotion of the exploitation of agricultural by-products;
• facilitating access to agricultural and agro-industrial by-products;
• the promotion of processes and techniques for the manufacture of compound animal feed, based on agricultural or agro-industrial by-products;
• participation in the collection of statistics on the use of agricultural and agro-industrial by-products in animal feed.
