Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Animal Feed and Feed Quality Standards Department is responsible for:

• the inventory and development of available food resources;
• support and advice for the formulation of food rations;
• the promotion of hygiene and feed quality;
• monitoring the application of regulations on the industrial and artisanal manufacture of feed intended for animal feed;
• support for the setting up of projects relating to the animal feed industries;
• the examination of applications for approval, authorisations for the creation and opening of establishments in the feed industries;
• participation in the collection of statistics on the animal feed industries;
• monitoring the application of regulations and standards on the quality of compound feedingstuffs;
• monitoring and control of the animal feed industries;
• monitoring the application of regulations and standards for the industrial and artisanal manufacture of animal feed;
• quality control of feedingstuffs.
