(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Industrial Fishing Service is responsible for:

• the promotion and development of industrial fishing production;
• the examination of applications for industrial fishing approvals and licences;
• the promotion of industrial fishing;
• updating the file of industrial fishing companies;
• updating the file of catching gear and industrial fishing units;
• monitoring the activities of professional and inter-professional organizations of industrial fishermen;
• of the collection of statics on industrial fishing.
