Fisheries Resources Assessment and Management Service
(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Fisheries Resources Assessment and Development Service is responsible for:
- studies and assessments of fishery resources;
- the identification and inventory of national fishery resources;
- participation in the collection and processing of fishing statistics;
- fisheries management;
- the development and implementation of techniques for the renewal of fishery resources;
- the promotion of methods for the sustainable exploitation of fishery resources;
- socio-economic studies of fishing activities;
- the study of species and their adaptability to various ecological zones.
