Aquaculture Extension Service
(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Aquaculture Extension Service is responsible for:
- the collection of aquaculture research results with a view to their extension;
- the inventory of aquaculture resources;
- the collection of research data in aquaculture matters;
- centralization of fisheries research needs;
- the popularization of aquaculture species adapted to the various ecological zones;
- the popularization of quality standards for aquaculture equipment and products;
- the popularization of aquaculture techniques and standards;
- monitoring and control of private aquaculture extension institutions, in liaison with the relevant administrations;
- centralization, processing and analysis of statistical data;
- socio-economic studies of fishing and aquaculture activities.
