Sub-Directorate of Professional Organizations and Extension
(1) Placed under the authority of a Deputy Director, the Sub-Directorate of Professional Organizations and Extension is responsible for:
- the development of strategies for supervising producers and pastoral animation;
- the popularization of production techniques in the field of livestock, in liaison with the administrations concerned;
- the dissemination of technological innovations in animal husbandry and feeding;
- the development of the management of research-extension relations, in conjunction with the administrations concerned;
- the scheduling and execution of producer training sessions, in conjunction with the competent technical services;
- the promotion of rules of good conduct in the breeding, slaughter, transport and exploitation of animals;
- the identification and monitoring of actions contributing to the development of organizations of grassroots producers and professionals in the livestock sector;
- monitoring the activities of professional livestock farmers’ organisations;
- the development of consultation frameworks between professional organizations and development partners;
- the implementation of actions contributing to the professionalisation of producers.
