Studies and Planning Unit
(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Cell, the Studies and Planning Unit is responsible for:
- of !’ development and planning of programmes and projects relating to livestock, fisheries, aquaculture and the animal and fisheries industries;
- carrying out studies with a view to renewing animal, fisheries and fish resources, in conjunction with the Ministry in charge of Research and Innovation;
- the coordination of prospective studies in the fields of livestock, fisheries, aquaculture and the animal and fisheries industries;
- monitoring of environmental impact studies and assessments of major projects in the livestock, fisheries and animal and fisheries industries sub-sector, in conjunction with the administrations concerned;
- the formulation of development strategies for the livestock, fisheries and animal and fisheries industries;
- the identification, formulation and evaluation of the management of ministerial projects and programmes in the areas of livestock, fisheries and the animal and fisheries industries;
- the coherence of the various sectoral programmes in the areas of livestock, fisheries, aquaculture and the animal and fisheries industries;
- promoting the participation of inter-branch organizations in the livestock, fisheries, aquaculture, animal and fisheries industries, as well as civil society, in the design, monitoring and evaluation of policies, strategies and programmes;
- participation in the development and updating of the macroeconomic framework of the sub-sector;
- and the development and updating of departmental medium-term expenditure frameworks.
