Cooperation Unit
(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Cell, the Cooperation Cell is responsible for:
- the drafting and monitoring of conventions and agreements concerning livestock, fisheries, aquaculture and the development of animal and fisheries industries;
- the identification and monitoring of technical and financial cooperation actions with national and international partners;
- the promotion and monitoring of partnership relations with governmental and non-governmental bodies dealing with livestock, fisheries and the animal and fisheries industries;
- participation in the search for funding and technical expertise required for the Ministry’s projects and programs;
- the establishment and management of a database on technical and financial partners;
- participation in the preparation of all promotional events relating to the activities of the livestock, fisheries, aquaculture, animal and fisheries industries sub-sector;
- the development of the strategy for the promotion of investments in the livestock, fisheries, aquaculture and animal and fisheries industries sub-sector, in conjunction with the administrations concerned;
- support for the establishment of an incentive framework for the development of livestock, fisheries, aquaculture, animal and fisheries industries.
(2) It comprises, in addition to the head, in addition to the head of the cell, three (3) assistant research officers
