1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Cell, the Communication Unit is responsible for:

• the implementation of the government communications strategy within the Department;
• the design and formatting of the Department’s specific messages;
• the collection, analysis and conservation of the Ministry’s journalistic and audiovisual documentation;
• the exploitation of articles relating to issues concerning the Ministry in the national or international press;
• the permanent promotion of the Ministry’s brand image;
• the protocol and organization of ceremonies in which the Department participates;
• the production of the Ministry’s specialized media programs;
• the organization of press conferences and other communication actions of the Ministry;
• the drafting and publication of the newsletter and all other publications of interest to the Ministry.

(2) It comprises, in addition to the Head of Cell, two (02) Assistant Research Officers.
