Regional Delegation for Livestock, Fishing and Animal Industries (DREPIA)
The Regional Delegation to’Breeding, Fishing and Animal Industries (DREPIA) is an essential link of the Ministry of LIVESTOCK, Fisheries and Animal Industries (MINEPIA) in Cameroon. It ensures the implementation of national policies at the regional level, adapting to the specificities and needs of local communities in the field of animal husbandry, fisheries and animal industries.
Main missions:
- Application of public policies : The DREPIA is responsible for the implementation and implementation of national policies on animal husbandry, fisheries and’industries, ensuring their adaptation to the regional context.
- Accompaniment of producers : The delegation provides technical and administrative support to farmers and fishermen, providing advice and training on best practices in production and resource management.
- Monitoring and evaluation of activities : The DREPIA monitors and evaluates the programs and projects underway in the sector of the’ breeding and fishing, thus ensuring the smooth running of activities and the achievement of the objectives set.
- Coordination with local actors : The delegation is working with local authorities, producer organisations and NGOs to create an environment conducive to the development of the’ livestock and fisheries sectors, integrating the concerns of local actors.
