(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Professional and Interprofessional Organisations Service is responsible for:

• support for the emergence and development of grassroots organizations, professional and interprofessional organizations;
• the training of managers and members of professional and interprofessional organizations;
• the regular production of information on professional livestock organisations and their activities;
• the analysis of the evolution of professional organizations in their environment;
• the creation of the file of professional and inter-professional producer organizations, and non-governmental organizations operating in the livestock and animal industries sector;
• the monitoring of professional and interprofessional organisations in the livestock sector;
• the development of consultation frameworks between professional organizations and development partners;
• the implementation of actions contributing to the professionalisation of producers.
