𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘪𝘯𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘰𝘧 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘍𝘪𝘴𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘈𝘯𝘪𝘮𝘢𝘭 𝘐𝘯𝘥𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, 𝘋𝘳. 𝘛𝘈𝘐𝘎𝘈 𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘶𝘨𝘶𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘴𝘵 𝘜𝘭𝘵𝘳𝘢-𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘯 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘓𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘍𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘕𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘩 (𝘊𝘋𝘌𝘕) 𝘪𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘢.

The ceremony which took place on the 27th August 2024 culminated in the handing over of pre heated chicks and production inputs to female poultry farmers in the Diamare and Mayo-Tsanaga division. This was within the framework for the promotion of poultry farming within families in the Northern regions of the country.

A total of 250 women were trained in poultry and pig farming by the Françoise PUENE Foundation of Liberty to kick start their businesses in the aforementioned sub sectors.

The modern hatchery unit which is the first of its kind in the Northern region after CDENO in the North west region is timely as it addresses the problem of the lack of production of eggs or table birds.

The government through the Ministry of Livestock Fisheries and Animal Industries decided to salvage the situation by creating a conducive environment for the private sector to produce more table birds and eggs in the Northern regions.
