NATIONAL ZOOTECHNICAL AND VETERINARY TRAINING CENTER OF MAROUA: THE CLASS OF 2023-2025 IN THE FIELD
290 professionals from the Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries sector, from this prestigious school that is in their sixties, received their scrolls and bonuses for the best on Friday, August 22, 2025. It was during a solemn ceremony presided over by the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr. TAÏGA, accompanied by the Governor of the Far North Region and his staff.
A popular and colorful ceremony with the presence of many families of learners who have reached the end of their training in five different and complementary courses, namely:
- CYCLE III: Agropastoral Advisors (CAP)
- CYCLE II: Veterinary Nurses (IV); Livestock Technicians (TE)
- CYCLE I: Assistant Veterinary Nurses (IVA); Assistant Livestock Technicians (TAE).
MINEPIA, in its discursive and didactic speech, insistently told the laureates this: “Today marks the end of a chapter, but above all the beginning of a new adventure. It should be noted that this Zootechnical and Veterinary Training Center (CNFZV) of Maroua was created in 1959. The first three directors of this structure were French aid workers, all veterinary doctors. It was in 1977 that the nationals began to take over the management of this training institution to this day. They have always been veterinarians in their turn.
