INTERNATIONAL LABOUR DAY 2023: MINEPIA-MINFOPRA FRIENDLY MATCH
It was with a score of 2 goals to 1 that the Greats Ladies of MINFOPRA won the return leg of their friendly match against the Amazones of MINEPIA as a prelude to the celebration of the 137th edition of the International Labour Day, placed under the theme: “Resilience and decent work: Working together in the world of work to improve living conditions and social inclusion”. The Minister for the Civil Service and Administrative Reform (MINFOPRA) Joseph Le and the Minister for Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries (MINEPIA) Dr Taïga, took part on Thursday 27 April 2023 in the friendly football match between the MINEPIA women’s team and the MINFOPRA Greats Ladies in the arena of the Yaoundé military stadium.
The Minister, Dr TAÏGA, spoke of the beauty of the match: “We witnessed a beautiful match with technical moves that we greatly appreciated”, he said. As for Minister Joseph LE, he was keen to stress the importance of these sporting activities as part of Labour Day in particular, and for the moral and physical health of workers in general: “Workers also need a break to enjoy themselves. This was the case today. A great moment of sharing and communion between two ministerial departments. That’s why it wasn’t MINEPIA or MINFOPRA, but government solidarity that made it possible for our employees to enjoy themselves on such a special occasion.
MINEPIA won the first leg at the Presidential Guard stadium in Mvog-Betsi by 3 goals to 2 last March. The date is therefore set for the next edition of Labour Day.
As VOLTAIRE said, and I quote: “Work removes from us three great evils: boredom, vice and need.
