AGROPASTORAL SECTOR: TRAINING FOR YOUNG PEOPLE A CONCERN
Agropastoral entrepreneurship has remained a leitmotiv within the Agropastoral Vocational Training Support Programme (PCP AFOP). Over the past ten years, the programme has introduced a dozen agropastoral trades taught to young Cameroonians. To date, more than four thousand young people have benefited from these vocational training courses provided within the decentralised structures of MINEPIA and MINADER, renovated by the programme.
At its 18th Steering Committee meeting on 16 March 2021, the PCP AFOP reiterated its commitment to training young Cameroonians in agropastoral entrepreneurship. The aim is to empower young people in the fight against poverty and underemployment. The 18th session of the Steering Committee (CoPil) was co-chaired by the Ministers of Agriculture and Rural Development and Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries.
