2023 GREETINGS CEREMONY AT MINEPIA: ALL STAFF MOBILISED
Staff from central, decentralised, attached and supervised departments were all at the Palais polyvalent des sports on 03 February 2023.
The Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr TAÏGA, received New Year’s greetings from the staff of his ministerial department and stakeholders in the EPIA sub-sector. This took place on Friday 03 February 2023 at the Yaoundé Sports Palace. This was an opportunity to take detailed stock of all the activities carried out within MINEPIA’s 04 main programmes:
Programme 053 for the development of animal production and industries; Programme 055 for the improvement of livestock health cover and the fight against zoonoses; Programme 057 for the development of fisheries production; and Programme 059 for governance and institutional support.
It was also an opportunity for Dr Taïga to congratulate all the coordination and good cooperation shown by everyone involved in achieving this positive result. However, he invited everyone to become even more involved in order to meet the challenges facing the Ministry in the new year. The ceremony was rich in emotion, with a number of well-known artists keeping the guests in good spirits. In addition, a vibrant tribute was paid to the artist Ekambi Brillant, whose memory is sorely missed, with a rendition of his song “Muna Mouto”. The audience sang along to this song, saluting the memory of the great artist.
Certificates were awarded to participants in training workshops on the use of local aquaculture fish “braised fish 237”. This training was part of MINEPIA’s efforts to promote import substitution. Then came the handshake with the Minister, which was accompanied by a number of gifts that his hosts proudly brought and presented.
