The Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Doctor Taïga, received the new French Ambassador to the Republic of Cameroon, His Excellency Thierry Marchand, in audience on Thursday November 03, 2022. Newly arrived in Cameroon, the French diplomat came to take the temperature of the cooperation files linking his country to Cameroon’s Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries sub-sector.
The focus of the meeting was on food security and the organization of the poultry and pastoral sectors. His Excellency Thierry Marchand recalled France’s efforts to strengthen partnerships in this field, to enable Cameroon to achieve food self-sufficiency. Also taking part in the discussions were the Coordinator of the Programme de Consolidation et de Pérennisation du Conseil Agropastoral (PCP-ACEFA), the Directeur du Développement des Productions et des Industries Animales, (DDPIA) and the Head of the Division des Études de la Planification de la Coopération et des Statistiques (DEPCS).
