(1) Placed under the authority of a Head of Department, the Department for the Extension and Promotion of Innovations is responsible for:

  • the preparation and implementation of themes for the popularization of production techniques in livestock and pastoral animation;
  • monitoring of private extension structures in the field of livestock;
  • participation in the publication of technical bulletins on livestock farming;
  • the programming and execution of continuing education sessions for producers and professionals in the livestock and animal industries;
  • the popularization of standard livestock infrastructure plans;
  • the popularization of artificial insemination and embryo transfer techniques;
  • the inventory of the results of zootechnical research;
  • the collection, processing and dissemination of scientific information;
  • the promotion of artificial insemination and embryo transfer techniques;
  • regular assessment of the state of implementation of technological innovations in animal husbandry;
  • the centralization of production constraints and participation in the formulation of related research themes;
  • the design of standard livestock infrastructure plans, in conjunction with the competent structures;
  • regular assessment of the state of implementation of technological innovations in animal husbandry;
  • the implementation of the biotechnology development measures concerned; the production of periodic activity reports;
  • preparing and monitoring the application of the rules on the protection and welfare of animals by promoting the rules of good conduct in animal breeding, slaughter, promotion and exploitation.
