Working visit by MINEPIA to the Littoral region
The Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries chaired the 60th ordinary session of the Board of Directors of the Caisse de Développement de la Pêche Maritime (CDPM) in Douala on Friday 12 February 2021.
The proceedings, which lasted nearly three hours, enabled Dr Taiga and the Directors to review the various achievements of the CDPM in 2020 and to make projections for 2021.
The vote on the budget for the 2021 financial year was the most important item on the agenda. The draft budget, which was adopted unanimously, has revenue and expenditure balanced at CFAF 1,755,550,000 (one billion seven hundred and fifty-five million five hundred and fifty thousand). At the end of the Board meeting, MINEPIA’s calendar was not at rest. As part of the Substitution Import policy, Dr TAÏGA will inaugurate on the same Friday a structure specialising in fish production and processing based in the city of Douala, before undergoing the same exercises on Saturday 13 February 2021 in Missole, a locality located in the Sanaga Maritime where a young Cameroonian is marvelling at an aquaculture and agricultural complex located in the middle of the forest.
