Cameroon-Italy: Cameroon’s new ambassador to Rome visits MINEPIA
His Excellency Sébastien Foumane was received in audience at 11am on 15 June 2021. Recently promoted to the prestigious position of Cameroon’s Ambassador to Rome, H.E. Sébastien Foumane was in Yaoundé to see Dr Taïga, Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries. More than just a courtesy and contact visit, the diplomat came to reassure the minister of the continued collaboration between his services in Rome and the livestock, fisheries and animal industries sub-sector.
Cameroon’s ambassador in Rome ensures a multilateral dimension with institutions such as the World Food Programme (WFP), the United Nations Food and Agriculture Programme (FAO) and the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), all based in Italy. In the same vein, His Excellency Foumane remains the spokesperson for Cameroonians in terms of placement in the aforementioned structures. These were the main topics of discussion between Dr Taiga and his host.
As a reminder, the FAO and IFAD are working alongside Cameroon via the MINEPIA on the development of fish farming and livestock in general.
