MINEPIA’s farewell to the JICA representative in Cameroon
The Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr Taïga, received in audience, on Tuesday September 1, 2020 at 2pm, Mrs. the resident representative of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Cameroon Office.
Arriving at the end of her three-and-a-half-year stay in Cameroon, Ms MASUDA JUNKO came to say goodbye to MINEPIA, with whom JICA has worked in perfect synergy.
The seven (07) billion project to improve the landing stage and fish market at Youpwé in Douala is the fruit of a grant agreement signed in December 2019 between Japan and Cameroon.
During the discussions, Dr. Taiga’s guest thanked the Cameroonian government for the warm welcome extended to him throughout his stay, and above all for the good relations and cloudless skies between Japan and Cameroon.
Ms. MASUDA JUNKO’s replacement is expected in two weeks’ time. Prior to his appointment in Cameroon, he was serving in Morocco. The Resident Representative expressed the hope that relations between her replacement and MINEPIA would remain as cordial as they had been throughout her stay in Cameroon.
