A delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) was received in audience on Thursday January 13, 2022 by the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries, Dr Taiga.

The JICA delegation, led by resident representative KAGEYAMA TADASHI, revealed that it would be carrying out a 10-day study of fishing in Cameroon with consultants from Tokyo.

The study will include data collection on human resources, technology and the development of aquaculture research in Cameroon.

The results of this study will determine the possibility of launching new projects and activities in the fisheries sector in Cameroon.
