It was shortly before the nativity that these young people received checks from the Minister of Livestock, Fisheries and Animal Industries for one million each.

It was at the Yaoundé Convention Center in the presence of the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Grégoire Owona, representatives of the African Development Bank and some of MIEPIA’s partner banks, including the Bank for Small and Medium Enterprises and the Commercial Bank of Cameroon. The 266 young agripreneurs underwent an intense six-month training in eleven incubation facilities in the ten regions. The certificates issued on the same day enshrine the applicants as entrepreneurs in the field of livestock and fish farming. These trainings and other financial support are part of the livestock and fish farming value chains project housed at MINEPIA. In his speech, the Minister, Dr. TAIGA encouraged these young people to become great entrepreneurs in order to respond positively to the call of the Head of State who promised to make this social category the hobbyhorse of his current mandate.
